At this appointment, he’ll begin by cleaning your teeth, and removing an extremely thin layer of enamel from your teeth. This enamel is equal in thickness to your veneers, so it’s removed to provide them with a perfect fit and a strong hold.
After this, images and molds are taken of your mouth. This information is used by a third-party laboratory to create your veneers, and make sure they fit perfectly in your mouth. It usually takes 2-3 weeks for your veneers to be created, so you will be sent home with temporary veneers.
When your veneers arrive at Fresh Smiles, Dr. Bower will schedule your next appointment. He’ll check them to make sure that they fit perfectly in your mouth and match your existing teeth. Then, he will bond them into place with dental cement, completing the procedure. Once the veneers are placed, you’ll leave our office with a brand new, fresh smile!
